Presidents Message

It has been a busy month and a busy year. I have appreciated the support of all of you with whatever has been asked. Now, as the year is drawing to a close, I'd like to thank you for everything. We have had a lot of work to do but we have had time for fun with the great rides and other activities.
On November 14th the results of the recent election for board members were given. The board will consist of Mark H Williams, Annette Allen, Alan Peterson, Larry Brown, Gary Kofford, Pete Jones and Glennys Sitterud with Mary Lou Bentley as Secretary Treasurer. Thank you very much for your input on these selections. The transition to this type of governing system should be a smooth one with the neat people we have that want to give something back to the club.
Thanks to all of you that participated with the work party in Coal Wash on November 17th. Signs were replaced and tracks raked out. Looks good.
If anyone over 18 is interested in a summer job for the Forest Service, contact Bill Broadbear at 435-637-2817. They will be hiring five people to monitor the trails so this would be a good chance for some club members to ride all summer and get paid for it.

When you do your Christmas shopping remember that the following dealers support your trails and access to public lands:

Action Motorsports, Big Pine Sports, Carey's Cycle, Fast Truck Sports, Hondaland, Newgate Motorsports, Stone's Big Boy Toys, Bear Lake Funtime, Alpine Auto & RV, Cache Honda, Yamaha, Dearden Equipment, Garretts Honda, Duff Shelley, Carbon Emery Motorsports, Honda, Suzuki of Salt Lake, Jorgensen's Honda, Monarch Honda, Perry Motorsports, Plaza Cycle, Vesco Sports, Weller Recreation

Merry Christmas 2001!

The SouthEastern Utah OHV Club Invites You To The Annual Christmas Party and Ride On December 8, 2001

To begin the day, meet at the City Park on Main Street in Ferron, Utah to ride at 8:30 A.M. We will trailer to the trail head of Short Canyon for the ride. The dinner party will begin at 4:00 P.M. at the Recreation Center in Castle Dale at 400 East 100 South (near the Rodeo Grounds).
The Club will be providing the BBQ turkey and all families are asked to bring a generous pot luck dish. There will be door prizes, tickets to purchase for the auction, and music performed by the Jones Brothers.
Bring your families and enjoy the evening with us. If you have any friends that are interested in the Club, tell them to bring a potluck dish and join us for the fun! It is very important that you RSVP with the total in your party by Tuesday, December 4th, 2001 so that the turkey can be purchased (we want to have enough for everyone).
(There will be no cooking facilities, so if your dish needs to be kept warm, plan accordingly).

RSVP to: Mary Bentley 435-384-2264 or Annette Allen 435-384-2690

Proceeds from the auction will be deposited in our Legal Defence Fund for the continuing battle for our Right to access our Public Lands.
Mary will be collecting yearly family dues of $20.00 at the dinner Party for those who would rather not mail them in.
